About Joaquim
Born on 30 May, a 30 that reminds me of coins, 1970, a son of the end of summer, 1969, Portugal. Educated simultaneously in Germanic and Latin languages, without quite understanding how to perceive the subtleties of meanings—etymological, emotional, semantic—ways of thinking about words, which say the same thing with a different meaning. Attenuated and better understood after studying Theology and Philosophy at the Angra Seminary, and before that at the Modern University of Lisbon, first in International Relations-Political Science, and second in International Management-Economics. Having had diverse and disparate work occupations, limiting, enriching, and I play with all the knowledge I have acquired and the time that has arisen to paint on a theme.
I like to think about it over the years, which is the mechanics of consciousness, in its multiple proposals for analysis, from anthropology to physics, from philosophy to theology, from psychology to sociology, from a perspective that the future influences The Present perceived by the awareness of the past that I try to make sense of from my kaleidoscopic mind, from the dimensional dichotomy in which we have been formatted, educated, made aware, presents this work in 7 paintings: “Mechanics of Consciousness the beginning.”, “MoC Knopfbaum”, “MoC Slow time!”, “MoC Pato.”, “MoC Politics.”, “MoC Sociological reflections on the bed sheet.” and “MoC sons of Adam grandsons of Abraham. A final.”.
